What is a Business Continuity Plan?
A Business Continuity program is a management plan that describes in practical terms how a business prepares and responds to unplanned events that could jeopardize the business’s ability to survive incidents, disasters and catastrophic events while maintaining its long-term viability through continued operations. Events can include localized incidents such as a building fire or power disruption, evacuation of the area where the business operates, disruption of services (such as Internet services, telephone services, etc.), and incidents that prevent employees from being at the place of business.
