St. Paul the Apostle Maltese-Canadian Parish was founded on the 8th of September, 1930 in the Archdiocese of Toronto. It is a personal (ethnic) parish (Code of Canon Law, c. 515 and c. 518).
The purpose of our foundation and continued existence comes from our ethnicity. As the only Maltese parish in the Archdiocese of Toronto (indeed in all of North America), we have the special mission to be the focal point for the Maltese community. The community includes Maltese immigrants; 2nd and 3rd and further generations of Maltese-Canadians & Americans; and non-Maltese parishioners and friends who attend our church.
