The Navy League Band is the pride and joy of the Ajax-Pickering Navy League.
Band members include cadets from both corps.
Cadets volunteer for the band and are given instruction in reading music and playing one of the instruments. Band members also learn marching as part of their normal instructions.
The band participates in many local parades as well as parades in other regions of Ontario. Parades the band have participated in during the past few years include the Santa Clause Parade in downtown Toronto, the Pickering Santa Claus Parade, Ajax Home Week, Brooklyn Fair, and other parades in Coburg, Markham and Niagara Falls. The Navy League Band works under the Direction of Mr. Jim Qualtrough-Director of Music and SLt. Andrew Cherry-Band Officer and holds practices on Sunday Afternoons. Cadets forming the RCSCC Harwood Competition Band travel to numerous competitions and events across the Golden Horseshoe regions.
