The painting of "Our Lady of the Immigrant" is by the Maltese artist E.V. Cremona and was completed in 1964. There are two originals, one In Malta and another at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Toronto. The picture of the painting is by Joseph Camilleri of Camilleri Photography

Loving Mother, who together with your husband Joseph
and your son Jesus, lived like us in a foreign land
because of the struggles and injustices of life, intercede for us
living far away from our motherland. Teach us to be disciples of Christ
and to learn to do the will of God in our tribulations.
Keep our families united in fidelity to one another
amidst the difficulties of today's world. Strenghten us in LOVE
and in the FAITH of our fathers, with the HOPE that when
our time on earth is ended we enter joyfully in our heavenly home,
and with you we can sincerely say that like you we were faithful
servants of God, towards our country
and this land that welcomed us all.

Madre dell'Amore, che con il tuo sposo Giuseppe
e il tuo figlio Gesù, avete emigrato in un'altro paese a
causa dell' ingiustizia e delle altre difficoltà della vita.
Interce per noi a fare sempre la volontà di Dio nell' ora della prova.
Mantiene unita la nostra famiglia. Rafforzaci nell' AMORE e nella FEDE dei
nostri Padri, nella SPERANZA che quando saremo chiamati alla
Patria del cielo, possiamo dire con Te,
che abbiamo compiuto con gioia la nostra vocazione cristiana

que nos agobian. Aumenta en nosotros el AMORE de hermanos y la FÈ
